Useful Information

How do I register for Gold Star Family Day and/or Gold Star Sleepover?

  Answer: Choose ONE of the registration buttons on the home page.

Can we bring grandparents, uncles, aunts, friends, or battle buddies of our fallen heroes?

  Answer: We only have a limited number of slots, and we reserve those slots for immediate family members. Those family members can meet you after the Family Day Ceremony in the aquarium. They will need to purchase a ticket for the Georgia Aquarium at the entrance. They will not be allowed to enter the ballroom.

Our fallen hero's siblings have children and spouses. Can they bring their family?

  Answer: Yes, we would not ask our Gold Star Siblings to leave their family behind. 

​

Can our family request more than five tickets?

  Answer: If everyone can be vetted as immediate family members, yes. Please email us, and we will add the extra members for vetting.

​

What time does the sleepover start and end?

  Answer: You must be there by 6:30 pm and no later than 8 pm, or you will not be allowed entry. The sleepover ends at 9:45 am.

​

What time does Family Day start?

  Answer: Family Day begins at 09:45 am

​

Can my family attend the sleepover and family day?

  Answer: Yes. You will select the RSVP link that says Gold Star Family Weekend-ATTENDING BOTH EVENTS.

What should we bring for the sleepover?

  Answer: Sleeping bag eye mask, earplugs, toothbrush, battery-powered phone charger, sweater or hoodie, pillows, and blankets.

​

Can we bring snacks for the sleepover?

  Answer: No. The Georgia Aquarium does not allow outside food. Dinner and snacks will be offered. If you have food allergies, you may be able to bring your own food. You will need to get approval before the sleepover.

Can my older children bring their siblings to the Sleepover event? Can I bring my grandchildren to the Sleepover?

Answer:  Minor children (under the age of 18) will need their parent or legal guardian to register them and remain with the children the entire time of the Sleepover event. If you are not the minor's parent or legal guardian, you can not register the minor for the Sleepover.
